Sabrina Schmidt, Director of Faith Formation

Sabrina Schmidt has been the Director of Faith Formation for St. Agnes since January of 2006. She moved here from Wisconsin, where she served as a Director of Religious Education since 1992. Prior to doing this work, she was a teacher. She has a dual bachelor degree in elementary education and religious studies and a minor in English from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. At that time, she also obtained an elementary teaching license through Wisconsin. She also has a Masters of Theological Studies from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Her responsibilities include Parish School of Religion, First Reconciliation and Eucharist, Confirmation, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, all adult faith formation, the newsletter, and other tasks as assigned by the pastor. Sabrina is also a writer. She is a former columnist for both the Green Bay diocesan Compass and teh Oconto County TimesHerald. She has also published poetry in leading anthologies and has done extensive writing for programs in faith formation.

Her feline companion, Little Buddy, figures into her ministry both as Director of Faith Formation and writer. Her philosophy is that we can learn much about faith and life from cats. Sabrina very much enjoys her ministries.
